形態特徵

• Tall, robust perennial, densely tufted with short woody rhizome and rigid roots. Culms 50-150 cm tall, 2-5 mm thick, several-nodose, subterete, hollow, not branching.
• Leaves many, mostly basal and a few upper ones on culm, much surpassing culm; blades linear, chartaceous to coriaceous, involute-margined, 40-60 cm long, 7-12 mm wide, scabrous along margins and on abaxial costa; sheaths 10-20 cm long, brown or reddish brown

Achene ellipsoid to obovoid-ellipsoid, 4-4.5 mm long, 1.7-2 mm wide, obtusely trigonous, exocarp bony, maturing black, Somewhat shiny; stigmas 3.

分布

• 台灣 : Dry grassy slopes.
• 世界 : Thailand, Indochina, Western Malesia, southern China and the Ryukyus.
